Manhood Training and Mentoring Crime Prevention Program for At-Risk Youth
Youth age 8-21 were matched with an adult mentor and taught “rites of passage” to adulthood and responsible living and leadership development by staff and community and business leaders. Youth were engaged in City of Gary Neighborhood Clean-up community service events sponsored by the Office of the Mayor and participated in cultural enrichment and recreational events that served as alternatives to truancy and criminal behavior. 500 youth were served during the project period with 80% of youth participants showing improved schoolwork and less truancy and delinquency. (Funded for $238,484.00-1998-2005 by the USDOJ OJJDP through the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute).
Crime Prevention and Family Renewal Partnership Project
This project was designed to develop community collaboration and strengthen families. It enabled parents, pastors, pupils and police to conduct monthly Community Forums to discuss issues and develop strategies to reduce crime, create safe neighborhoods and strengthen families in Gary, Indiana. Youth program participants served as hosts and hostesses and servers during RRM sponsored community crime prevention conferences, workshops and other community events. Prison Forums were also held at the Indiana State Prison for Clergy and parents to discuss with youth offenders ways to avoid the pitfalls they experienced that led them to prison and to prevent parents’ children from being incarcerated. 6,000 persons were served in the monthly community forums. (Funded for $339,568.00-1999-2003 by the USDOJ OJJDP through the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute).

Alcohol and Drug Abuse Awareness and Prevention Program for At-Risk Youth
The goal of the project was to prevent at-risk youth ages 8-21, including children of incarcerated parents, and youth offenders from involvement in the use, abuse and/or sale of cigarettes, alcohol, and illegal drugs. Activities include individual and group counseling, tutorial and reading enrichment, skills development, computer training and lab, substance abuse education and prevention training, recreation and cultural enrichment special projects, and Community Forums. (Funded for $422,000.00-2003-2004 by the Lake County Indiana Office Division of Family and Children). 200 youth were served during the project period with 90% of youth participants successfully passing the Drug Awareness Test and refraining from the use of alcohol and drugs.
HIV/AIDS Risk Reduction and Prevention Program for Youth and Adults
The program included mentors, guest speakers and professionals for health awareness workshops that included substance abuse issues, HIV/AIDS, and other health concerns designed for ages 8 to 55. A Cultural Enrichment/Recreation component was also included. Youth participants visited Senior Citizen Nursing Homes and distributed gifts, sang songs, and distributed program materials as Community Service Projects. (Partially funded for $18,366.00-2000-2002 by Lake County Indiana Drug Free Alliance, Lake County Sheriff’s Department).
Neighborhood Revitalization Program for the 5th District, City of Gary, Indiana
Program was designed to create economic development Partnerships with local vendors to engage youth ages 8-25 in community service clean-up activities for the 5th District community in order to help businesses better advertise their services and to create jobs. (Funded for $14,051.00-2001-2002 by the Office of the Mayor, City of Gary, Indiana.
Juvenile Ex-offender Ready4Work Program for the City of Gary, Indiana
In 2003 RRM then located in Gary, Indiana was selected as one of several juvenile sites in the nation to implement the Juvenile Ex-offender Ready4Work Program for the City of Gary, Indiana. The Gary Juvenile Ready4Work Program was a three-year pilot program designed to link 80 juvenile non-violent ex-offenders annually, ages 14-18, to community-based and faith-based organizations that provided job training, mentoring, and job placement. The objectives of the program were to expand the workforce, address public safety concerns, rebuild communities and restore hope in the City of Gary. The program was managed by Public/Private Ventures (PPV) of Philadelphia, PA, a national non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the effectiveness of social policies and programs. (Funded for $600,000.00-2004-2007 by the US Department of Justice, OJP (OJJDP), US Department of Labor, and the Annie E. Casey Foundation). Over $1,000,000.00 million dollars of local, state and federal funds were received by RRM to partially fund these worthwhile youth directed community service projects in Indiana.

Ready4Life Work Program for Out-of-School Youth in East Baton Rouge Parish
The Ready4Life Youth Work Program was specifically designed to provide intervention and introduce 25 out-of-school youth (including youth offenders) ages 17-21 to the world of work; provide post-employment strategies to continue skills growth; provide support services and training to advance in the labor force; address public safety concerns; and engage youth program participants in a common citizenry activity to help improve their neighborhood and community. Referrals for Out-of-School Youth ages 17-21 were provided by the Workforce Investment Area 21 Office-One Stop Career Center. This project included youth offenders. (Funded in the amount of $99,535.00-2009-2010-by the Office of the Mayor-President-City of Baton Rouge-Parish of East Baton Rouge Workforce Investment Board One Stop Career Center).

Project Village: Mentoring Children of Prisoners, South Louisiana Region
As Affiliate Partners of the PEN OR PENCIL™ National Mentoring Network of the NAFJ and Prison Ministry and Criminal Justice Commission of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc., RRM has implemented Project Village: Mentoring Children of Prisoners Program. The program's geographical areas include the Greater Baton Rouge Region (South Louisiana). The goal of Project Village is to match 240 children ages 6-18 that have a parent in a State or Federal prison, including youth offenders under the supervision of the Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice, with caring volunteer adult mentors to develop a trusting relationship. Project Village implemented through RRM is partially funded in the amount of $600,645.00 over a 3-year period by a grant from the USDHHS-AFC-ACYF through the National Alliance of Faith and Justice (NAFJ) located in Washington, D.C. (2010-2013). Due to Federal government budget cuts, this initiative was not funded for the remaining two years.

Martin L. King, Jr. Day of Service, Baker, Louisiana
The Baker MLK Day of Service Planning Committee, organized by the Reclamation and Restoration Ministries, Inc. in cooperation with the Corporation for National and Community Service in Washington, D.C., hosted its First Annual MLK Day of Service Celebration in 2011 to commemorate and honor the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and launch community service projects that seek to improve the quality of life for citizens of the City of Baker in particular and the Greater Baton Rouge Area in general. Youth participants of the RRM Ready4Life Youth Work Program served as greeters, ushers, distributed literature and served meals during the community event of about 350 persons. RRM established a $1,000.00 MLK Youth Service Award Scholarship for a deserving graduating student of Baker High School who meets the eligibility requirements. The RRM launched its newest mentoring program called READY4LIFE Service Learning and Youth Empowerment Mentoring Project for middle and high school students at its 2012 Baker MLK Day of Service Community Event. The RRM employs its staff based upon awarded and publicly supported projects and range from 4 to 15 employees.

Ready4Life Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurial Training and Mentoring Project for Youth and Young Adults of Color in Underserved and COVID Impacted Communities
RRM will expand its partnerships for integrated service delivery and use Financial Literacy Education Instruction and Entrepreneur Training as an evidenced-based practice to mitigate factors for 225 youth and young adults of color ages 11-35 living in underserved communities. The program goals are to provide a powerful tool with the potential to help project participants escape poverty by acquiring critical money management life skills and by building savings, growing assets, and creating wealth. Financial experts from partner financial institutions will contact potential employers to provide paid/unpaid apprenticeships, internships and other entrepreneurial opportunities for 75 program young adults (ages 18-35) who qualify (25 in each of the three-year program). Sustained support through screened, trained, matched and committed mentors will help ensure program participants’ outcomes to be more positive and productive. Program activities will consist of financial literacy gains through a custom financial education series training by financial experts. Financial education classes will be offered via a two-hour session three-times a month up to thirty-six months for three age-appropriate groups (children, youth and young adults-one session per month for each group). The topics will be selected based upon the age and need of the current population utilizing the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) “Money Smart Program” and “JP Morgan Chase On-Demand Training Resources” as part of its Advancing Black Entrepreneurs Initiative that provide tools, advice, and education that help black business owner’s grow and scale their businesses.

Ready4Life Media and Digital Marketing Acceleration Project
RRM will partner with and assist schools, businesses, and other organizations in East Baton Rouge Parish, LA through its On-Line Media and Marketing Acceleration Project (MMAP). It is designed to recruit, mentor, and equip 300 youth and young adult interns ages 16-35 (100 in each year of the three (3) year project) with the necessary Media and Digital Marketing skills as a pathway to become future entrepreneurs, owners or digital professionals. In return, potentially closing the gap of opportunities for youth in at-risk situations and producing transfers of wealth within at-risk families, especially those living in underserved and COVID-19 disproportionately impacted communities. The goals of the project are to engage and provide youth and young adults with hands-on experience of rapid growing technology and media requirements through participation in special projects and programs of Reclamation and Restoration Ministries, Inc. that will act as a conduit to the professional world of Media and Digital Marketing as well as to develop RRM’s capacity and increase its brand awareness and visibility. The MMAP will serve as a gateway between online learning and real-life training for its program participants.

Ready4Life Violence Intervention and Prevention Project in Underserved Communities
RRM has also created A Positive Youth Development Project designed to prevent and reduce crime and violence among youth and young adults in at-risk situations to include Children in Foster Care, Children of Incarcerated Parents, Out-Of-School Youth, Youth Attending Underperforming Schools, Youth Living in High Crime Neighborhoods, Juveniles Released from Incarceration, and Youth residing in underserved and COVID-19 disproportionately negatively impacted communities. The Project is for a thirty-six (36) month or three-year period that will serve a total of one hundred fifty (150) youth in the target area neighborhood. In each year of the three-year Project fifty (50) youth ages 16-24 will be referred to the Project through the collaborated efforts of the Ready4Life Project Organizational Partners and recruited by project staff Mentee and Mentor Coordinators. It will provide intervention and introduce Project youth to the world of work; provide post-employment strategies to continue skills growth; provide support services and training in the labor force; and engage Project youth participants in a common citizenry to help improve their neighborhoods in the city of Baton Rouge. It will also engage law enforcement agencies, community-based and faith-based organizations, pastors, parents, police, formerly incarcerated persons, concerned citizens, and other stakeholders during Monthly Ready4Life Community Forums to establish trust and develop and implement a workable strategic plan to prevent the cycle of violence, death and incarceration of youth in at-risk situations; strengthen families; and create safer communities in targeted Police Districts in the City of Baton Rouge. The Ready4Life Project is funded by the USDOJ/BJA CVIPI Grant Award No. 15PBJA-22-GG-04754 in the amount of $1,498,637.

Our Vision
The Regional Operational Sites which includes Baton Rouge, LA, Chicago, IL, Gary, IN, and Houston, TX. RRM New Pathway Humanitarian Project Baton Rouge (NDHPBR) mission is to raise the standard of ministry and provide a model of meaningful, relevant, and life-changing service and leadership that springs from and justifies its existence. RRM will do so by bringing economic development and stimulation, job training, job creation, safer and better educational facilities, and safer overall environments while engaging faith and community-based initiatives that strengthen families and communities.

RRM recognizes its responsibility to establish an environment that encourages people to be the best and does its best as God intended. Therefore, it has developed a unique approach to accomplish this by building a progressive combination of "Centers" specially designed to offer patrons a place to worship and partake of an array of activities and services in an esthetically appealing, comfortable, and safe environment. The Reclamation and Restoration Ministries, Inc. will operate each of the "Centers" under individual program structures appropriate for that particular program. More importantly, the "Centers" will operate in a manner that makes them self-sufficient. This is vital to the overall viability of Reclamation and Restoration Ministries, Inc. In short, its program strategy employs a multi-faceted method to maintain and grow an operationally sound and worthwhile organization and develop the capacity to sustain its humanitarian outreach plan and service. Each "Center" is complementary to the other.

The Family Life Center and Banquet Hall will include a Commercial Kitchen; operate a Restaurant with a breakfast and lunch menu; Banquet Facilities; and a Cultural Arts Heritage Theatre with a seating capacity of approximately 1,500. It also will include a Bowling Alley and PRO Shop; Health and Fitness Center with appropriate exercise equipment; Men's Spa and Barbershop; Women's Spa, Hair, and Nail Salon, and Clothing Boutique. It will provide opportunities for families to engage in healthy activities in a safe and caring environment.

The Reclamation Center and Gymnasium will provide Executive and Program Offices and training centers to implement Crime and Violence Prevention and Reduction Programs; Community Development Projects; and supportive services for youth, adults, and elderly populations such as Temporary Housing; In-Home Medical Care; Transportation; Mentoring; Individual and Family Crisis Counseling; Hi-SET and other credentials.
